It started with a creepy new retro addition to MediaSauce Game Night, but quickly our YouTube favoriting spun out of control. We have chosen the recent best of our favorites feed to slack your jaw in confusion.

Mr Game Show

We can’t begin to describe how uncomfortable Mr. Game Show makes us feel as he watches our every move in this cutting edge gaming experience. Thanks to @coopman, you will have chance to get your own animatronic nightmares soon enough. Yours courtesy of Game Night.

Inside Edition’s Report on Super Mario Bros

via Giant Bomb

Just good old fashioned nostalgia in this 1988 report on Super Mario Bros and Nintendo. Yes, that is Bill O’Reilly praising video games for the only time in his broadcast career. Who didn’t want to be a Game Counselor at Nintendo? They knew every secret in every game and were on call at any given moment to help you with tips and tricks on all of your NES games. Of course, the hairstyle requirements of a Game Counselor meant that only the truly gifted could apply.

The Speak N Spellbinder

via Giant Bomb
Both creepy and obsessive, but very cool. This guy combined a Rock Band guitar with a Speak N Spell which somehow makes the Speak N Spell voice even more evil.

The greatest part about Rock Band has to be its downloadable catalog of songs. The diversity speaks for itself from James Brown to the Pixies, and Megadeth to Spongebob Squarepants. With 643 songs and growing each week, it is easy to take each release for granted. However, when a full album comes along it has a much larger impact than your random trio of songs.

Game Night was all set to focus its Rock Band attention on the rerelease of Pearl Jam’s - Ten. Less than a month later, however, another, more infamous, album also dropped onto the music store - Chinese Democracy by Guns N’ Roses.

The “14 years-in-the-making” album had a pretty anti-climactic release, all things considered, despite the fact that it was one of the better rock albums of 2008. Therefore the majority of people haven’t heard a single song off this album, yet it is released on Rock Band, which is at its best when everyone in and around the plastic band knows the song being played.

As fans of the album, Gamefest 5000 would like to issue a challenge to the wanna-be Axl Rose’s of Sir Game Night the Third. Bring your pipes and leave your shame at the door when the competition begins to find someone who can actually hit the high notes in the song below, If The World. The winner gets to laugh harder at everyone else’s attempts.

Not sure how much marketing Nintendo really needs to do these days, since everything they seem to make turns into machines that print money. However, for this past weekend’s launch of the Nintendo DSi, they decided a giant LEGO sculpture to promote the new handheld.

If that doesn’t show you why you need to upgrade to a DSi, I’m not sure we speak the same language. You can check out more detailed LEGO photos on the links below and pick up a DSi in stores today.

- Sir Game Night the Third - Friday, April 17

Take note that this is a change from the previous schedule, as some rabbit related family gaming activities coaxed us into make the adjustment.
